We believe data privacy is an inalienable human right. However, building, operating and enforcing such rights can become impossible if the physical hardware is not located in a properly regulated enviroment. We believe Switzerland has the best data privacy policies.

In Switzerland, the right to privacy is guaranteed in article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution.

The Federal Act on Data Protection of 19 June 1992 (in force since 1993) has set up a strict protection of privacy by prohibiting virtually any processing of personal data which is not expressly authorized by the data subjects. The protection is subject to the authority of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. Additionally, any person may ask in writing a company (managing data files) the correction or deletion of any personal data. The company must respond within thirty days. There were no government restrictions on access to the Internet or credible reports that the government monitored e-mail or Internet chat rooms without appropriate legal authority. The constitution provides for freedom of speech and press, and the government generally respects these rights in practice.

In addition, we have found that the Swiss embody the same values we hold here in Texas. We call them the "Texans" of Europe. Because of our shared values, we store our data in Switzerland, adhearing to the latest standards of redundancy, encryption and isolation.
